How your day ends is determined by how you start your day, and how you shape your mind then. Everything else follows afterwards. Here are some ways in which you can put your mind in the right frame:

  1. Wake up earlier

The early bird always catches the worm. Waking up an hour or two early gives you more time to prepare for the day, thus reducing stress. Try it tomorrow morning; it’s amazing how much you can achieve with a couple of extra hours on the day.

2. Eat a proper breakfast

Waking up earlier now affords you time to eat your breakfast properly. It is the most important meal of the day and will greatly influence your mood as the day goes by.

3. Plan your day

Take out a pen and notebook and write a plan down. It enables you to be more efficient during the day and as a result you can get the best out of yourself.

4. Put on some upbeat music

Nothing like getting yourself pumped up in the morning by putting on some high energy Electro music or even crunk music if you need to. When’s the last time you woke up in the morning snapping your fingers and walking it out?

5. Exercise

Energize your body from early on in the morning. Not only is it good for your body but for the mind too; it clears your mind and channels focus, which is useful for efficiency.

6. Open the window

Fresh air is always a plus; it is preferred to stuffiness. Don’t make important decisions in the presence limited air supply.

7. Express your gratitude

The importance of being grateful cannot be understated; not just being grateful for what you have but also for your friends and for what they have. Gratitude equally translates to positive vibes, which are essential for a wonderful day.

8. Look forward and not back

The past can’t be changed guys; be forward looking and focus on what you can change. It is much more effective than looking back in regret.

9. Remind yourself of your goals

Always have your eyes on the end result; stay focused on your goal, and on how to achieve them. Don’t lose track of what you have planned to achieve, as in the long term it only leads to regret.

10. Don’t start working too early

Take time to get your mind right; check your emails, respond to them, read a newspaper, talk to people… but don’t start working immediately you wake up. Get yourself ready.

There you go, now be fruitful with your days.
