BET Hip hop awards 2018 went down at the Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater at the Miami Beach, Florida. DeRay Davis hosted the show on Tuesday 16th. Drake led the nominees with eleven nominations. He was closely followed by Cardi B with ten nominations.


Lil Wayne, who just released his album The Carter V, was honored with the I Am Hip Hop Award. He gave a heart touching speech thanking everyone who has been with him through his journey. He thanked a white cop who saved his life. One of the fans tweeted and said that it is not about color. Cardi B was the big winner of the night after she went home with four awards.
