Well, maybe you believe this, maybe you don’t, but just in case you missed the memo, it’s Friday, and it’s the 13th day of the month. Do you know what that means? That means, to many people, that a bad omen is in the waiting.
It’s called Black Friday, believed to have a dark cloud. 13 is considered as an unlucky number. Some buildings in fact do not have 13th floor. Some football players have been rumored to refuse the number 13 jersey. On this day (13th, Friday) some artistes cancel their shows. Most people traveling cancel their trips and traveling agencies record a relatively lower turn-out on this date.
However, some world-known celebrities have had it rough on a black Friday. Hip Hop legend Tupac Shakur for instance. Tupac died on September 13th, which was a Friday.
Before him, Princess Diana of Wales had been involved in a road accident in Paris and died on Friday 13th, 1972. Some celebrities however view this date in a very different way. Taylor Swift for instance. Taylor Swift attributes much of her success to the number 13, and according to biographies, she even used to paint her hand 13 before every show.
