Cece Sagini is set to switch over from secular music to Gospel songs. She has been under the radar for quite a while now and it seems she’s been doing some soul searching…
She blew up a while ago when she collaborated with Octopizzo in the hit song ‘I’m a doer’. She is clearly a doing of great things because transitioning from one world of music to another is never easy. She revealed her decision to join the Gospel industry on Sunday’s #Crossover101. She is really crossing over eh. On the show which airs on NTV, she said,”I have been raised in a Christin family, sang in Church choir and I have always stuck to the teaching as much as I wasn’t in it. But over time I have had my moment of transition to getting saved. I know many will have questions if I am really sure about this. But yes I’m and this is a journey.“
On her social media platforms, she had been giving hints, “It’s been a long time coming, from my first officially song ‘Sio Mwisho’ before I officially released Sio Mwisho in 2013 I had a back and forth about releasing it, mainly to avoid being labelled a gospel artist. That week an acquaintance (who knew little about me) wrote to me with very detailed information concerning that specific struggle with a message from God (through a dream) which gave me courage to release it. I pushed on with the music but in my own direction, it did gain me a little attention but I still felt convicted to do gospel music…. Here I am now!!! That my talent may be used for His Glory. #CeceOnAMission.”
Her latest song is titled Ensobosobo. The sultry singer is also engaged to photographer Victor Peace. I foresee #BFFGoals between Cece Sagini and Size 8. We wish her all the best.
