According to reports by Nation media Kenyan promoters Wale Wasee paid Chris Brown a total of Ksh 90 million for his 90 minutes performance last night.

An agreement prepared by a London-based agency between the artiste and Wale Wasee Limited — the Kenyan promoters — shows that by September 30, Brown had been paid Sh55 million ($550,000), which included Sh20 million “travel buyout” and Sh35 million ($350,000) down payment.

The balance of Sh35 million ($350,000) was paid to the entertainer upon arrival in the coastal town on Saturday morning.

Though Thandi Ojeer of Wale Wasee Ltd is now disputing the figure, it is almost certain that they did pay him that amount. Given that Breezy charges 150,000 for a simple appearance on America, it is possible that he did take home 90m for the Mombasa Rocks Festival.
