The Lagos State Police Command Wednesday last week ,arrested hip-hop artist, David Adekeke commonly known as Davido over the death of one Tagbo. The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Police Command, Imohimi Edgal, disclosed that preliminary investigation showed that the late Umeike was rushed to the hospital on David’s instruction.
Former Nollywood actress,the alleged deceased girlfrined, Caroline Danjuma, caused an uproar on social media this past Tuesday, October 3 when she accused singer, Davido of using his car to drive his friend Tagbo Umeike, to a general hospital and abandoning him there. Tagbo’s body is said to be dumped in a Toyota Camry car in front of the Lagos Island General Hospital by yet to be identified persons.
She however later deleted almost all of the posts immediately. Fans say that she should have kept her relationship with the deceased confidential, rather than giving false information and misleading the public.
Her Instagram post read,”If only all this ill names could bring you back, I am ready to be called all sorts. They only label you because they never knew you. I could take a bullet for you because you were selfless; never looked down on no one. Playful and you knew your limits; you were never boastful nor excessive, you never drank past five shots of tequila even if you tried.“
On Sunday, October 8, a follower @kellydgreat_ wrote,”Drama King Davido, you’re responsible for the death of three of your friends, Tagbo, Chime, DJ Olu who all died the same way within the period of 3 days. We really need serious investigation. Something is fishy about the mysterious death of 3 of your friends in less than a week. The rich always get away with murder cases in Nigeria, but this time, your Money can’t safe you. I am an insider who know the whole story. The world will know the truth.”
Davido replied with a simple“God bless you” message.
