Churchill show is one one the most viewed shows in Kenya currently. It’s also a show that has provided a platform for comic talents to showcase, earn and start off their careers (e.g Chipukizi and Eric Omondi). However, with the growing list of comedy shows in Kenya, one needs to up his/her game to be ahead of the competitors, especially with many artistes salivating for a slot at the show. So last night something went wrong, we aren’t sure what it was yet.

After a performance by MC Jasper and Zeddy, the show went on a short commercial break just like it always does, and guys were glued to their sets waiting for MCA Tricky. Some had taken to social media and started complaining at how x-rated the show had become. At least that’s what we saw, then the show didn’t resume after the break. Churchil took to his twitter to apologise for not airing the third part of the show, citing technical hitches.

However, Kenya Film Classification Board boss Ezekiel Mutua took to his social media to show displeasure at the show’s display. His tweet suggested that there was something hidden as to why the show had been discontinued. He has since pulled down the post but we managed to have a screenshot of it here.

Mutua

Despite Churchill insisting that it was due to a technical hitch, Mr. Mutua has gone ahead to post that the former called him and apologised over last night’s show taking responsibility of what happened.

Well, who is telling the truth? Is creativity under attack? We have seen Ezekiel Mutua dash before and take strict action against similar visual products (Nishike by sauti Sol, Project X, You guy by P-Unit et al).
