There comes a time when all boys start thinking about fashion. There are all sorts of ways to be fashionable -hopefully this article will help you get started.
1. Make the decision:
Do you want to be fashionable or not? If you do, you’ll need a certain amount of enthusiasm and passion. Finding a style that you like can really help. Frequently update your wardrobe. Being fashionable requires a bit of creative improvisation. Experiment with new looks and disregard anything that you don’t feel comfortable with. Never lose track of who you really are. Falling into something just because it’s “the cool thing to do” doesn’t mean it is right for you. More than anything else; be yourself.
2. Organize a shopping trip:
If you have older siblings in their late teens or early to mid-20s, ask them to take you shopping. They will be able to offer advice and help pick out the best clothes for you. Give away any clothes that you don’t wear. Often times we hang on to clothes that don’t fit or we hardly ever wear. Gather up these clothes and donate them to a charitable organization. Be prepared that your parents may be reluctant to throw out clothes that still fit you. Mix and match clothes in your new spiced up wardrobe. You’re likely to find a combination that really works.
4. Accent your wardrobe with accessories:
Wear a nice watch. Consider getting an accessory that can be your signature like scarf, hat, bracelet, etc. And, as mentioned above, invest in a couple of belts. Experiment with jewellery. Don’t think of jewellery as a girl thing. Some people consider a wristwatch as a piece of jewellery, for example. Start looking around for a ring, a bracelet, a necklace, and/or earrings. But whatever you do, don’t go overboard. You don’t want to end up looking like Mr. G.
5. Don’t forget about shoes:
The right shoes completes an outfit, so don’t become dependent on a single pair. And make sure to pick the appropriate footwear for the appropriate occasion. You don’t want to wear slip-on skater shoes at a wedding.
