Ryan Giggs has officially left Manchester United after 29 years at the club.
Giggs’ departure was confirmed in a statement today, bringing an end to a remarkable Old Trafford career that began at the age of 14.
His departure comes after a turbulent couple of seasons during which he served as assistant manager to Louis van Gaal.
But following Jose Mourinho’s arrival, Giggs says he feels the time is right to pursue the next chapter of his career and fulfill his management ambitions.
