Soulful singer Gilad Milo is surely vukaing borders. The Unajua hit-maker is currently working on a collabo with American Grammy Award winning sensation Miri Benari. The latter took to her Instagram page last night to break the good news, saying that something was in the offing. “Hey guys I’m in the studio programming bass for a new hot ??single-collaboration for @giladmillo,” she wrote.
Who is Miri Benari, you ask? Well, Miri Benari is an Israeli-American singer (notice Gilad is Israeli too?). She is also a violinist who stays in New Jersey USA whose career is award-studded. In 2003 she did her “Temple of Beautiful” which was very huge before following it up closely with “Live at the Blue Note”. In 2005 she won a Grammy award for the best rap song, Jesus Walks, which she had co-written with Kanye West. Two years later she received the “Jewish Woman To Watch 2007” Award and went ahead to win the “2008 Israel Film Festival Visionary Award,” “The Jewish Federation” award and “the American Society for Yad Vashem” Award all in 2008.
Miri was named as one of ten most influential Israelis in America in 2011 and in 2012 she got the invitation to perform for the then POTUS Barack Obama. The last feather in her cap was being appointed as the “Goodwill Ambassador of Music” at the United Nations Association-Brazil in 2013.
The upcoming project between the two Israeli-born artistes is called “Say Nanana”
