With the increasing growth of African music many international collabos have become a norm,we’ve seen P square, Wiz kid, Davido, Casper Nyovest among many other African acts record jams with globally acclaimed stars like Meek ill,Drake,Akon,Rick Ross and many more. Many of these colllabos are rumored to have cost these artists a lot of money to bag.
Diamond is the latest to join the fray. He recently recorded a jam with RnB superstar Neyo while he was in Kenya for Coke Studio, however his collabo was a private venture and not part of the Coke Studio mash up which his bongo fellow Ali Kiba got.
Diamond was speaking in United States where he met Nigerian artist KCee who requested to listen to his collabo with Neyo. Impressed with how the song was done, KCee asked Diamond to reveal how much he had paid Neyo for the collabo.
He went on to say that he didn’t even pay a cent for the song unlike his fellow artists who have to pay big acts for a collabo.
Sisi Mwenyezi Mungu katupa bahati tunafanya nao nyimbo bure,‘ he said.
