When you see two love buds holding hands being all romantic, it can feel you’re the last single person left on the planet. It sucks. But thanks to a new study, we now have scientific proof that you’re most definitely not alone.
Sixty-four percent of American teens ages 13 – 17 have never dated or hooked up with anyone, according to a new study from the Pew Research Center. So, all those insane love triangles on Pretty Little Liars? Yeah, those were just as likely to happen IRL as your best friend disappearing and then coming back from the dead a few years later. The majority of people in high school aren’t dating anyone at all let alone about multiple people at once.
Meanwhile, 35 percent have ever dated or hooked up with another person, and only 18 percent are currently dating someone. One percent of the teens in the survey chose not to respond.
Being single isn’t a bad thing. Actually, it’s kind of the best. And no matter how you feel about the Single Ladies Life, know this: you’re not alone!
