Last season, Arsenal kicked off with a very impressive start but as the championship wore on, so did its star players. Arsenal picked up injury after injury, and many die hard fans believe that this cost them the elusive EPL title. Well, it looks like the nightmares of last season could have returned to haunt the London boys as news reaching us indicates that one of their key forwards, Olivier Giroud, is out for up to 4 months due to injury.
Actually, the Frenchman will be sidelined for about four months after surgery to repair a broken left leg. He sustained a small break to his tibia during Saturday’s 2-2 tie against Everton in the Premier League, just seconds after he scored. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said Wednesday that Giroud isn’t likely to play until the end of December.
