Nairobi’s Uppah settled for a goalless draw with Kakamega in the ongoing KSSSA Nationals prompting the teams to go for post-match penalties. The game, played at Moi Complex Primary, had fans eagerly waiting to see whether the Nairobi champs and would overcome the fierce competition from Kakamega who have almost the whole team contracted by local clubs. A win for St. Anthony’s and Kakamega would have seen an all-western region final, which was actually to be a derby. However, Uppah went on to beat Katch 4-3 and now they will face St. Anthony in the finals, set to be played tomorrow.

In other games, Wiyeta beat Njabini 2-0 and now it will face Ibinzo who also beat Kobala 2-0 in soccer girls. In Volleyball Malava Boys beat Cheptil 3-0 while Sengera beat Kangundo 3 sets to 1. Cheptil boys however trounced Lugulu 3 sets to none and now are going to meet Kwanthanze who beat Soweto 3-0.
