The Kenya Morans are having one of their best winning streak runs in history. The Morans booked a semi final spot yesterday in the ongoing FIBA AfroCan competition in Bamako, Mali. Kenya booked a spot in yesterdays quarter finals after seeing out Ivory Coast in a hard fought win. The Morans needed a last minute buzzer from Tylor Ongwae to seal the match after coming down from a 10 point deficit to finish the clash at 85-83.

The quarter final match against Tunisia wasn’t easy either. They had to force extra time after the fourth quarter ended in a 68 point tie. The extra time came with a lot of pressure but Moran’s Griffin Lingare was on fire and his 7-point extra time score helped Kenya edge out Tunisia. The match ended 82-76.

The Tunisian side was really spectacular in the first two quarters of the game emerging the better side by the half of the game. They led 19-20 and 14-16 in both quarters respectively. However, the Morans bounced back in the third quarter with a 20-10 lead before sinking again in the fourth quarter for 22-15 loss to force an extra time decider. Kenya won the match with a 14-8 lead in the extra time.

Kenya are now set to face Morocco in the semi finals.
