Kenyan radio queens Adelle Onyango and Anita Nderu are among BBCs 100 women this year. The two are among sixty women that were named today who will team up with others from the rest of the world to tackle some of the biggest problems facing women around the world. The four teams include the glass ceiling (Teamlead), female illiteracy (Teamread), street harassment (Teamgo) and sexism in sport (Teamplay).
The rest of the list is yet to be announced. Another Kenyan in the list is Naomi Mwaura,Founder, Flone Initiative and Communications Associate at ITDP Africa who notably lead the #MydressMyChoice demos a while back. Another notable name in the list is Nigerian songstress Tiwa Savage.
