The Disney classic is a famously a kid-friendly adaptation of Shakespeare’s Hamlet.
The Lion King is presumably set in Kenya, according to MentalFLoss, though that’s never explicitly stated in the film. It explores the Kenyan wildernesses, follows animals that are native to the hills and plains. Most of the characters have Swahili names.
The movie hits theaters on July 19, 2019, but we are already wishing it was here already.
