Mr. Tumbler aka Mejja, has had to defend himself after allegations of conning a podcaster clouded the internet. The Genge superstar has had one of the best years of his career with many Kenyans branding him as the one man army pushing Kenyan music this year. He has featured in most of the hits that have been released in 2020, and of course with his signature tumbler.

A young man from a podcast called MtandaoVersity has accused Mejja of conning him Sh. 12000 to attend a podcast interview in addition to Sh. 1500 for data bundles. The worst part is, he did not turn up for the interview. A look at the podcast’s Youtube page shows that they have hosted a number of celebrities including Andrew Kibe, Tina Kaggia and Fareed Kimani. The podcaster accused Mejja of being “arrogant, a liar, opportunistic, naïve and a disrespectful person.”

The Genge star responded by refuting the claims and warning that if the podcaster doesn’t apologize then he will take the matter to the relevant authorities. He also added that he can’t even think of charging for an interview since he never charges for features. The superstar has branded the whole scenario as mere clout chasing.
