Migori Governor Okoth Obado has come under heavy criticism after a photo emerged online showing him flagging off cows.

The governor was commissioning a dairy farming project using the national flag but what irked many Kenyans was how he waved the flag over a cow while the crowd looked on in amusement.

The project saw a total of 150 dairy cows and 49 bulls distributed to farmers during the event.

Kenyans on social media criticized the governor saying that there was no need of wasting taxpayers money on unnecessary ceremonies.

And its not the first time we’ve seen governors spend a lot of money on uncalled for projects.

Just last year Kirinyaga governor Joseph Ndathi was ridiculed for having a ribbon-cutting ceremony to open a foot-bridge in Gatundu.
