India PM,Narendra Modi,showered Kenya Defence Forces with gifts during his visit.
The Indian Prime Minister who is the first in 35 years to visit Kenya,did not come empty-handed.
He was given a state reception and received a 19-gun salute.
Modi presented 30 field ambulances to be used by KDF.
They are also used as a bid to improve India-Kenya defense partnership.
Modi said that,”The MoU on Defense Cooperation signed just now would strengthen our institutional cooperation between our defense establishments. This would include greater staff exchanges; sharing of expertise and experiences; training and institution building, cooperation in hydrography, and supply of equipment.”
India has 1,325,000 men in their forces making it one of the largest armed forces in the world after U.S,Russia,China and Japan.
It is also ranked 5th according to the World’s Strongest Militaries.
Uhuru and Modi talked about deepening trade between the two countries to correct the trade imbalance.
Kenyatta hospital will also receive cancer treatment facility from Modi.
He certainly is a blessing to the country.
