Four teenagers were on Tuesday night caught ferrying a dead body of a taxi driver who had been reported missing.
The suspects were nabbed by police officers along the Nakuru-Nyahururu road, transporting the driver’s decomposing body using a stolen Toyota Premio car.
“The suspects had placed the decomposing body of the driver in the car’s boot when they were arrested by police officers who have been tracking the vehicle from Narok Town,”
Nakuru Officer Commanding Police Division (OCPD) Musa Kongoli was quoted saying
Among the four suspects, one was identified as a student of Fanaka Secondary School in Narok, another one from Nakuru’s City Mission Secondary, while the other two are said to be brothers, with their respective schools being undisclosed.
The teenagers aged between 17 and 19, are now the main suspects in the killing of the taxi driver, who was reportedly abducted during a carjacking episode in Narok Town over the weekend.
The four are said to have tortured the taxi driver before killing him.
The incident follows a series of mysterious killings in the town reported by residents.
