The arrival of Maurizio Sarri to the EPL following the dramatic sacking of former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte seemed to be the perfect pill to end Pep’s reign but maybe that was not to be. Pep just proved that he could still be on top of things at the premier league after beating Sarri’s Chelsea to win the Community Shield yesterday. Man City beat Chelsea by two 2 goals to 0 thanks to Aguero’s double strike at the 12th minute and at the 58th minute. Guardiola’s side was the better side in the game which saw Chelsea only claim the higher possession.

Chelsea’s woes might still be far from ending after the lose at Wembley. The future of some of the clubs key stars is still at a limbo with Harzard yet to decide his future today, same to Courtouis. Kante’s future also being uncertain following interest from PSG and Barcelona now preparing a second bid for Willian. Therefore Chelsea’s squad still seems unfit to outpower Guardiola’s side.

Pep’s style of play has given EPL bosses a headache in the last season and stll seems is gonna do so this season. He caused the same problems in La Liga, Bundesliga and now in the EPL. Nobody has ever come up with a perfect solution as to how to kill Pep’s sides. Last season Jurgen Klopp surprised Pep as he found a way to silent his guns and eliminate City from the Champions league. But can that last? Still not sure. Anyway all we can do right now is wait and see how this season unfolds…
