Money can’t buy happiness? Well: it can cater for many travels; can buy many things, can solve many problems, and it forms intense memories that result in strong feelings of attachment; or as I like to call it, Love. So what do you mean that it can’t buy happiness?
Research has proven this in that many of the couples splitting today do so due to lack of financial stability in their relationships. It’s even evident in most of the songs we listen to, for example, ‘Uliza Kiatu’ by our local musicians H-art The Band; in the lyrics they say: “Nilimuonyesha Mapenzi Akanionyesha Mfuko, Alisema Doe Ya Salon Ni…Thao Tu…Na Kwa Mfuko Nilikuwa Na Mbao Juu…”
Not to mean that the basis of relationships is gold digging from either genders, but money makes everything easier. Money does make the world go round. Money does not bring limitations; it brings opportunities, adventure, desire and fulfillment. Correct me if I am wrong but in actual fact, these are some of the things that form a basis of love. So let’s get over the stereotype that money can’t buy love.
However, by the end of the day the truth remains that money can buy you a fine dog, but only love can make him wag his tail.
