Pastor James Maina Ng’ang’a of Neno Evangelism Centre had some rough times on Monday after it emerged that his Range Rover Sports had been involved in an accident on Sunday evening along the Nakuru-Naivasha highway that resulted to the death of one.
According to the reports by eyewitnesses, the controversial reverend was driving recklessly and on the wrong side of the road when the accident happened. They claimed they saw Ng’ang’a get out of the car and into another which sped off.
Recent reports, however, have surfaced from the Inspector General of the police, Joseph Boinnet who named the driver as Simon Maina Kuria. “The wife of Nissan driver, who was a passenger, unfortunately succumbed to injuries and passed on. The Range Rover was inspected, and released. The driver will appear in the Limuru Senior Magistrates Court. He’s on Sh20,000 cash bail,” said Boinnet.
This brings an element of confusion to the saga as it goes against the eyewitnesses reports and Pastor Ng’ang’a was also present when the Range Rover was towed from Tigoni Police station on Monday. The question remains- who is lying? Is there a cover up involved?
