Photography in the CBD has for a long time been a nightmare, as photographers are always arrested by the Kanjo askaris and you know what that means, parting with some money or else ending up in City Hall.
Yesterday renowned radio host and photographer Larry Asego tweeted Governor-elect Mike Sonko complaining over the same and Sonko was not hesitant to give them a go-ahead. “Morning Governor elect plea from photographers. The harassment is too much We want to document our lovely city in peace
#Jobianze,” tweeted Larry. To which Sonko replied, “Granted! As long as I am your Governor I won’t allow any harassment. Photographers are now free to document our great city.”

This is a great signal from the governor-elect and we are optimistic he’ll allow more artistic room in the city.
