Two weeks after the fatal plane crash involving Chapecoense team players, a surviving member of the team awoke from coma over the weekend.
Hélio Hermito Zampier Neto awoke with no memory of what had happened asking who won the final and why he hadn’t played it, according to the Brazilian team’s doctor Edson Stankonski.
The two other players, Alan Ruschel and Jackson Follmann, who have a little bit recovered are flying back home today while Neto shall stay in Hospital till he fully gains his stability. Meanwhile, all information on what happened is with-held from the 31-year old footballer.
On November 28, the Brazilian football club was travelling to Colombia to play the first leg of the 2016 Copa Sudamericana final against Atlético Nacional when it was involved in a plane crash that resulted in the death of all of the club’s players except 3 of them.
