And Nicki Minaj’s feud with Remy Ma shows no signs of fading away, after the pair attacked one another in newly released tracks.
On Friday, Nicki released a collaboration with rapper Gucci Mane titled Make Love, which was aimed at Terror Squad rapper Remy.
Then yesterday , 36-year-old Remy came out swinging with a seven-minute diss track, naming Nicki as the target.
‘Oooohhh, oh you the qu-e-e-the queen of this here?/One platinum plaque, album flopped, b***h, where?/Hahaha, ahhhhh/I took two bars off just to laugh.
‘You see, silly rabbit, to be the queen of rap/You gotta sell records, you gotta get plaques/S, plural like the S on my chest.’
Remy however was not as subtle on ShETHER, which she released on Soundcloud.
Her song, which is a play on Ether, the famous 2001 diss track by Nas against Bey’s husband Jay Z, clearly began with a repetition of ‘F***k Nicki Minaj.’
Remy dragged her foe’s ex Meek Mill into the mess, spitting:
‘And I saw Meek at [NBA] All-Star [Game], he told me your a** dropped/He couldn’t f*** you for three months because your a** dropped/Now I don’t think y’all understand how bad her a** got/The implants that she had put in her a** popped.’
Nicki’s answer to the Remy’s low blows was to pull out a magic card: cite Beyonce, who knighted Nicki the queen of rap in 2015.
Taking to Instagram – where she boasts 74.6million followers – Minaj posted a video of herself and Queen Bey as her song ‘Nicki’s Track’ played in the background.
‘I met this girl named Nicki, I guess you could say she was the rap queen.’
Disagreements between the two women began in 2007, before Remy was jailed for six years after being found guilty of assault for shooting a friend during an argument at a party.
While Remy was locked up, she stated that she was supportive of Nicki and her success, but added that she was going to be a ‘problem’ to Minaj once she was released.
Remy was released from prison in 2014 after serving six years.
So there is a breakdown of the beef between the beauties, so are you Team Remy or Team Nicki
