Johnson Sakaja will be a part of history when he will witness the historical moment when Hilary Clinton will be formally announced as the Democratic presidential candidate.

The National Alliance party chairman will be attending the National Democratic Convention to be held in Philadelphia next week,

Clinton, who may make history as the first woman President in the US, will face off with Republican nominee Donald Trump who will be officially be nominated by his party just a week before.

Sakaja said he sees the invite as an opportunity to not only learn from the US democrats on the conduct of party affairs but an honour to represent the ruling Jubilee Coalition.

“Kenya is a young democracy and we must take every opportunity to learn when we can. Our new Jubilee Party will be the largest party in Kenya and we can learn a lot from the US Democratic Party as we prepare for the 2017 elections,”
