20 year old Simone Manuel became the first black woman to win the 100m freestyle at the Olympics; and she did it in record time too.
At 20 years old, Simone has proven to be a force to be reckoned with by setting 2 records all at once.
Her roommate, fellow champion Katie Ledecky, took to Twitter to congratulate her almost immediately.

Simone is now awaiting to compete in the finals of the 50m freestyle, which will take place today at 7:02 p.m.
