In what may seem as the most bizarre send off in any football match,a Swedish player Adam Ljungkvist was given marching orders after breaking wind or rather farting in a football game.
The 25 year old who was playing at left-back position in a match between Järna SK’s reserve team and Pershagen SK was issued with a second yellow card after broke wind in the field.

Speaking to Swedish newspaper Lanstidningen Sodertalje,Ljungkvist said that he didn’t mean to offend anyone and was responding to a call of nature.
“I had a bad stomach, so I simply let go.”“Then I received two yellow cards and then red. Yes, I was shocked, it’s the strangest thing I have ever experienced in football.
“I asked the referee, ‘What, am I not allowed to break wind a little?’ ‘No,’ he replied … I don’t get it but maybe he thought I farted in my hand and threw the fart at him. But I did not.”
On his side, the referee Danny Kako confirmed that he booked him for the ‘offence’ and accused him of ‘deliberate provocation’
“I perceived it as deliberate provocation. He did it on purpose and it was inappropriate. Therefore, he received a yellow card.”
Kako said that he had seen a similar incident before and didn’t hesitate to take action as well
“Once there was a player who stood and peed next to the pitch. I showed him a yellow card, too.”
So next time you wanna fart during a football match make sure it isn’t that loud.
