T Pain is fondly known as the father of Autotune (maybe not so fondly by some factions in the hip hip world; Jay Z, anyone?); however, his vocal strength and prowess has always been a point of uncertainty, perhaps even doubt.
People often think that T-pain usually uses Autotune because he can hardly sing, a point which he has since proven wrong. During the last LA Dodgers game, T Pain had the honor of singing the national anthem before the game, as is customary; a honor which he took upon wholeheartedly and to great effect. What came out of it was simply beautiful and gave the fans a taste of what his upcoming album might sound like, which is a potential departure from autotune-filled songs.
