Soccer fans all around the world you do not know what you are missing. Coca cola unveiled the Copa coca cola Under 16 tournament in Kenya. The tournament aims at developing talent across Africa. It involves 12 countries from around the continent.
The tournament is currently on going at the Nakuru High School in Kenya. The countries involved are: Kenya (hosts), Zimbabwe, Zambia, Nigeria, Angola, Botswana, South Africa, Mozambique, Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia and Malawi.
Day one of the tournament saw Kenya sailed through easily past Ethiopia. They hammered them 11-1 in an entertaining opener match.
Kenya played their second match on Wednesday and thrashed Botswana 3-0. Other matches on that day were as follows:
Tanzania 3 Angola 0
Mozambique 1 Uganda 1
Nigeria 3 Zimbabwe 0
The quarter finals see the following teams battle it out:
Kenya vs Uganda
Zambia vs Tanzania
Mozambique vs Botswana
Nigeria vs South Africa
Kenya the favorites of the host nation aim at proving themselves worth of the crown.
Coca cola urge the players to do their best as the tournament might provide them with scouting opportunities.
The Copa Coca cola finals are set to be held on Saturday 15th December 2018.
