When Mututho and the GoK is trying hard to rid the country of drinking young, others are forcing their teens to drink. Only with dire consequences…

According to a CBS News report in the USA, a Wyoming (that’s like a State in the US) couple tried to teach a 16-year-old boy a lesson about drinking by giving him alcohol. Terrible idea. He died of alcohol poisoning.

The news agency reports that Joseph M. Richardson and Paulette L. Richardson, from the small town of Urie, Wyoming, are charged with involuntary manslaughter in the death of Kendal Ball. Ball, who was Paulette Richardson’s biological son, was found dead in their home on July 7.

According to the local newspaper, the Uinta County Herald, Ball had for the last three years expressed a desire to drink. Ball’s biological father, the paper reported, was an alcoholic, and Paulette and Joseph, who is now Ball’s stepfather, didn’t want him to turn out like that. They figured they’d teach him a lesson by providing Ball with alcohol so he’d drink himself sick.

Ball drank from 8:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on July 6 in the presence of Paulette and Joseph, as well as one of his friends, who is also a teenager. Ball then went to bed, but when his mom went to check on him around 3:45 a.m. she found him unresponsive.

An autopsy found the boy’s blood alcohol level was .587%, more than seven times the legal limit.
