A couple just driving by downtown on the one night that crime is legal, find themselves stranded out in the open when their car stalls. A mother and a daughter who were just minding their business in their apartment, find themselves literally dragged in to the sport killing that is dubbed “the purge”. A father who was wronged when his son was killed by a drunk driver is out for revenge. These five individuals find their paths tangled on this very dangerous of all nights and have to stick together to fight off vultures and the rich folks who are out to practice their “right, given to them by the NFFA (New Founding Fathers of America) to prey on the weak in society.
The first purge movie was a good one, this coming from someone who does not favour in the least bit blood and guts movies. This second one is even better, and this is a huge plus to movies of this amount of blood and almost no humour at all. I felt with the characters and found myself rooting for these under dogs.
It’s a definite “watch-twice” movie.
