If you are an avid Uber user, you might have noticed that since Friday, some drivers have not be available. The drivers have been on a go-slow to protest the low fare rates that were recently introduced by the taxi firm.

And now the uber partners and drivers are set to hold demos tomorrow.

They will all be offline during the demonstrations.

They are urging Uber to reduce the commission that they take as the driver’s net earnings have reduced due to the newly introduced rates

Speaking to Daily Nation one of the partners said,

“Yesterday (Thursday) I did more rides to get to my average daily earnings, but unfortunately half of the amount went to fueling the car which is not usually the case under the previous rates,”

Uber Kenya announced a reduction in fares on Thursday a move that was received well by its customers.
