One of the most successful music groups in Uganda is the ‘Goodlyfe’ crew, consisting of Weasel and Radio. Weasel is a brother to the legendary Jose Chameleone, in fact the two used to be his back-up singers before they broke off to take on the industry head on.
With so many hits under their belt (Ability, Breath Away, Magnetic, Bread and Butter, Zuenza and many more), the duo now is going international. The group spoke to BET and intimated that they’re going to feature Hip Hop star Snoop Dogg in their upcoming project. Which project? A remix of their latest work, Plenty Plenty.
Plenty Plenty original song’s video was shot in Johannesburg South Africa, but the remix’s video shall be done in Hollywood.
“We are too honoured to work with the greatest (Snoop Dogg). We are just speechless we grew up listening to his vibes and the first time we were nominated in the BET: Best International African Act we were blessed and honoured to see him performing live at the awards,” they are quoted by BET.
The duo has been raking success ever since ditching Chameleone’s Leone Island to form their own label Goodlyfe Music Group, doing hit after hit and attracting big artistes for collaborations like Wizkid, Beenie man and Tanzania’s Vanessa Mdee. They have been nominated for the BET awards since then and MTV.
