Police on Saturday arrested a man who managed to sneak into a presidential function at Afraha Stadium while carrying a bullet.
The function, which was led by President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto, was meant to serve as a thanksgiving prayer rally and came days after charges against Ruto were terminated at the ICC.
21 year-old Mr Dickson Oduor Gwala was apprehended by detectives at the venue of the rally with one round of 7.62mm
The detectives then conducted a search at the man’s Bondeni residence but the findings of the search have not been released.
It is not yet clear how far he was arrested from the main dais where the President,his deputy and other senior government officials were seated.
Police have also not stated whether he was a lone ranger or part of a network.
The fellow is currently at a police cell in Nakuru as police continue with investigations.
