According to Vera Sidika, “You don’t just wake up one morning and become famous.” She unlike other socialites, as she reveals, didn’t post nude photos for fame. No, her walk to fame was a long and tedious journey.
She came to Nairobi which she called “The Big Apple Of Kenya” with the aim of making something for herself. According to her it wasn’t easy. She ventured into fashion and modelling, where she started out as an intern at Versatile Fashions. Unfortunately she wasn’t getting what she expected so she opted to do free-lance modelling. After much searching she landed a contract with an on-line lingerie company, Nairobi Secrets. Through this she began gracing the pages and covers of Pulse magazine and that’s when people started noticing her potential behind.
But her biggest breakthrough came when P-Unit’s manager called her offering her the opportunity to be a video vixen in the hit video “You Guy”. After that video, that won many awards in its time, Sidika said her phone never stopped ringing as sponsors started calling in large numbers. That is how Vera Sidika became a multimillionaire.
