To all the theater lovers, I have plot for you this Easter weekend. If you are not going to shags or the HM festival, then make your way to St Andrews church, along university way, this weekend. Liquid arts entertainment brings you an Easter play titled Hocus Pocus.
If you are like me then magic is the first thing that comes to mind, ‘now you see it, now you don’t’; but the play is not about magic at all. It’s a comedy crime love story with lies that will make you have trust issues at how easily you fell for them. The story revolves around a guy called Charles, an ex-con because he chose to be the sacrificial lamb and die for his pal. He is now out and he wants to rekindle his old flame with Miriam and propose to her; but he doesn’t know that his best friend already took his place. He has to convince her to take him back and also prove that he is not a murderer. How will he prove that? Is Melvin the guy who Charles killed really dead? It’s basically hocus pocus, lies that will keep you at the edge of your seat with rib cracking jokes. Come watch the mystery being solved, cheaters being caught and lovers being reunited. There are only two shows left, on the 4th and 5th of this month; and a ticket is being sold at ksh500 for two. A free ticket for your plus one is the best offer you can get this Easter. Its Hocus Pocus people; see you there!
