Arsene Wenger has a reputation for being one of the stingiest football managers in modern football. However, all that may change this summer as Wenger is about to spend the most he has ever spent collectively on transfers within one transfer window.
Having already bought Granit Xhaka for 30 million pounds (Kshs. 4.2 billion), he hoped to reinforce his squad with the addition of Alexandre Lacazette and Shkodran Mustafi.
Wenger already bid for Lacaette earlier in the summer but was rejected. Arsenal are widely expected to return with a better bid for The Frenchman, hoping to have spare change for the young but very experienced German defender Mustafi.
This deal is widely expected to cost Arsenal a combined 75 million pounds (Kshs. 10.5 billion); worth it or nah?
