A coast-based artiste has pitched camp in Diamond Platinumz’s WCB in the recent days. Chikuzee, known for his famous hit ‘Ngoma itambae’ featuring Susumila has been posting photos of him in wasafi, with wasafi artistes like Rayvanny. This comes a few days after gospel sensation made a trip to the East African music powerhouse. So, why are kenyan artistes thronging WCB? Well, let’s break it down for you.

Diamond’s company Wasafi Classics Baby launched a website that would be a music-selling platform. It’s more like Mkito and mdundo. But in this case, Wassafi.com uploads music and for one to download he or she has to pay. It’s more convenient and gives new release songs exclusivity as you can’t download before paying via the available platforms (cards, and even M-Pesa).

So for this to happen, for an artiste to have his/her songs in the site that is, they must sign an agreement with the management. So you saw Willy Paul in Wasafi, now Chikuzee is in Wasafi and both signed deals. Which deals? Those are the deals pertaining having the artistes’ songs on Wasafi.com. Well, any opportunistic artiste can Dandia a chance to collabo with Harmonize, or Rayvanny, or even Diamond himself if their pockets are deep enough but as at now, Chibu is making himself so accessible for the benefit of the site.
