Microsoft is set to launch its new slimmed-down version of the Xbox One model,Xbox One S,on Tuesday,August 2.

It will be the first console to support 4K Ultra HD video and will be available across 25 countries worldwide.

Now one thing to note is that the Xbox One S will be available in three different capacities with the $399 2TB version said to be the only model to be released on August 2.

The $350 1TB and $299 500GB models will however be released soon, according to Matt Lapsen,General manager for Xbox Devices Marketing.

The console is smaller, cheaper and throws in support for 4K Ultra-HD Blu-ray discs and 4K streaming services

Even though it will support the 4K (3,820×2,160-pixel) resolution, the feature will only work for movies,TV’s and not games.

At the same time you will need to have a 4K compatible TV to enjoy it.

And with High Dynamic Range(HDR) for video and gaming, more games will look better due to a higher contrast ratio.
